Research Ethics

Last updated 23 May 2026.

Our Commitment

CIOTR conducts research and editorial work in accordance with internationally recognised ethical standards, including the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) best practices.

Research Integrity

All research conducted under our auspices follows principles of honesty, rigour, transparency, and accountability. We expect researchers to present original work, disclose conflicts of interest, and acknowledge prior contributions appropriately.

Editorial Ethics

For research published in our journal, peer review is double-blind and conducted by domain experts. Editors handle manuscripts impartially and recuse themselves where personal or professional relationships create a conflict of interest.

Use of Generative AI

Researchers and authors may use generative AI for language assistance or limited support tasks but must disclose such use. AI tools may not be listed as authors. Reviewers must not upload confidential manuscripts to public AI services.

Corrections & Retractions

We issue corrections for honest errors and retractions for findings that are unreliable or where research misconduct affects the integrity of the published record.

Reporting Concerns

Concerns about research integrity or editorial conduct should be reported to info@ciotr.com. All reports are reviewed by an independent panel and handled in confidence.
